There is a call for new Chairs for the ECYA roundtable.

September 14th may be the next meeting, should the date and time stay the same.

We would like to have topics for the next year set as well since it worked so well this year.

Possible Topics:
Hot Fiction
Non Fiction
Advocacy & Statistics (great statistical resources available through webjunction)
School/Public Librarian cooperation
Teen safety and required mandating
YA Spaces and Planning

Could Pinterest replace booklists? An idea from CLA. Change link on book covers to your own library catalog. Time consuming, but libraries currently using it do not yet have data on success.

Fall Statewide YA meeting will probably be on November 15th in Wallingford.

We should update the booklists as they were created about three years ago.

Today’s Topic: Hot New Fiction

Some of our non-traditional selection resources:
Teens Read
Barnes and Noble
BWI Title Tales has a monthly feature
KDL Whats Next to keep track of series
Juvenile Sequels and Series also tracks series
iconn.org has a new website for readers advisory
