Teen Cafe at the Canterbury Library

Posted on

Kathleen and I are trying to get our Young Adults to plan a coffeehouse in our library, we have a meeting scheduled for Febuary 7 and would like any suggestions from other libraries.  We want to go into this meeting with ideas to get these Young Adults started and we love ideas!!!

Yes, we want to create a coffeehouse setting, so the teens can hang out with snacks and drinks while they chat. Our goal is to get the teens involved in planning ongoing library activities and to help us build a Young Adult area, so they feel welcomed! Please provided any ideas, so we can get our teens motivated!

I think that the latest SLJ had an article about a student run shop and most likely the email address of the librarian who help set that up.
